An upgrade to the Kendall Tennis Courts and Wauchope Pool could be a step closer if Council is successful in obtaining funds from the Regional Development Australia Fund. Council will submit expressions of interest for Rounds 3 and 4 of the National Infrastructure Program funds for the two high profile local projects.
Both projects identified meet the criteria of having arrangements in place for viable partnership contributions of either cash or in-kind services and are considered ‘shovel ready’.
Wauchope Pool and diving facility was nominated in Round 2 of the funding program, but was unsuccessful.
Council must submit the funding expression of interest by December 6, with successful projects not expected to be announced until the first quarter of 2013.
