Craft room relaunch

Garden Village Port Macquarie held the ‘grand re-opening’ of the Craft Ladies’ newly refurbished craft room, including a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Operations Manager Kate Chew said these ladies are the tireless workers for the Village.
“Around 15-20 members get together each Monday morning to create items that can be sold to bring in funds to purchase comfort items for the residents of the Garden Village Aged Care Facility,” she said.
“They are also the ladies that got together to knit beanies to send to our troops in Afghanistan.
“The ladies also recently entered 29 items in the Wauchope Show craft sections.
“Twenty-seven out of 29 pieces won first and second prizes, with one of our ladies receiving ‘First Prize-Champion of Show’ for a beautiful quilt,” Ms Chew said.
