POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was indecently assaulted at a beach in Port Macquarie.
A 40-year-old woman was sitting on a bench at Lighthouse Beach at about 10am on Tuesday when a naked man approached her and indecently assaulted her.
The man fled the area and was last seen heading toward Matthew Flinders Drive.
The woman drove to Port Macquarie Police Station and reported the incident.
Police searched the area near where the alleged assault took place but could not locate the man.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 35 and 45, with an athletic build, shaved head and tattoos on his torso.
