A BUSY line-up of events will take place during Youth Week, starting tomorrow.
* Friday 4 April: A concert and night skate at Town Beach Reserve to mark the start of Youth Week. Prizes to be won.
* Saturday 5 April: The Amazing Race that is not a Race. Get a team together and take part in crazy challenges throughout the Hastings to win great prizes.
* Sunday 6 April: There will be two events on this day which include Cosplay (Port Macquarie’s version of ‘Comic Con’) at the Port Macquarie Library and a mash-up of Pop Up Games and Chalk Art at the Glasshouse forecourt on Hay Street.
* Wednesday 9 April: Youth Homelessness Matters Day will include events, forums and other information hosted at Town Green. Free games and barbecue included, followed by an overnight sleep-out.
* Thursday 10 April: Come and share your ideas and passions with like-minded young people at the Glasshouse for a special interactive ‘Think Tank’. Open to everyone aged 12 to 35 years of age. Free snacks provided.
* Friday 11 April: Two outdoor movies will be played back to back at Westport Park (one family film and one for young people).
* Saturday 12 April: The Mud Run Challenge will be taking place in Coffs Harbour. A bus will be provided. The event is suitable for young people aged 12 to 30.
* Sunday 13 April: A Chilled Beach Day at Flynn’s Beach will mark the end of Youth Week. A DJ, games and sandcastle competition will be the highlight of the day.
Most events and activities are free.
Note: The deadline for registering for the Amazing Race and Mud Run is tomorrow, Friday.
