TIMBERTOWN will host its annual steam fair this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 4, 5 and 6 July.
This year’s line-up at Wauchope’s iconic park is nothing short of impressive, with more steam and heritage items on show than ever before.
A spokesperson said there would be more than six traction engines and a steam roller affectionately known as “rattling monsters” in operation within the park, with rides behind a traction engine over all three days.
“Machinery will be present from right across the eastern seaboard and will start arriving on Thursday,” he said.
“Australia Fair, the magnificent fairground organ, will be playing what is regarded as the happiest music on earth during the event.
“This year will see the return of the grand parade every day at noon.
“Australia’s champion whip-cracker, Fiona Wilks, will present two shows daily along with miniature steam train rides, jumping castles, fire engines and vintage tractors along with many of Timbertown’s favourites.
“The town crier will be there to make sure visitors are directed to the many attractions and Timbertown’s famous steam train will run continuously over the event.”
Entry includes all demonstrations and heritage rides.
