Wauchope awards outstanding

Sarah Houseman receives her award for outstanding achiever from WHS principal Robert Henry.

WAUCHOPE High School has held its annual awards night.
Outstanding student Sarah Houseman collected six First in Subject and six Excellence Awards plus a distinction in the national Australian Chemistry Competition as well as the school Outstanding Achiever Award, coming first place in year 12.
Other awards went to; Lions Club Award for scholarship and citizenship – Jackson Thompson and Jaclyn Lindsay, Rotary Club of Wauchope Award for leadership – Brent Lenehan, Shannon Steel and Jacqueline Hallam, Mid Coast Connect Award – Natalie Schmitzer, Ros Cooksey Memorial Award – Tamara Dobson, Reuben F. Scarf Award – Andrew Hamilton, Bob Peate Memorial Chemistry Award – Tara Wilkinson, Gabriel Mathematics Awards – Dylan Tinker for applied mathematics, Natalie Schmitzer for general mathematics, Sarah Houseman for mathematics and mathematics extension one, Hastings Co-op Community Award – Katie Thomas, Wauchope High Citizenship Award – Joshua Howard, Wauchope High Support Unit Award – Joshua Howard, Long Tan Award – Jackson Thompson, Year Adviser’s Award – Acasia Magennis, Sixth-place year 12 – Nigel Malcolm, Fifth-place year 12 – Naomi Williams, Fourth-place year 12 – Rebecca Hicks, Third-place year 12- Jackson Thompson, Second-place year 12 – Natalie Schmitzer, 2013 Caltex All-Rounder – Jackson Thompson, and WHS Outstanding Achiever 2013 – Sarah Houseman.
