NORTH Coast Holiday Parks have delivered a major upgrade to the spectacular Bonny Hills park in time for the busy summer holiday season – providing a welcome boost to local tourism.
Improvements include a new amenities block, new fully equipped camp kitchen, extra slab sites with ocean views, new roadways and – for the glampers – beach tents with views down to Rainbow Beach.
Perched atop a headland, the historic North Coast Holiday Parks Bonny Hills has been the summer playground for generations of beach goers from both the local area and further afield, and the upgrades will ensure that it continues to grow in popularity.
The improvements were the result of a well-researched plan of management and great news for businesses in the Camden Haven, including Bonny Hills, with visitor nights reportedly already on the increase.
NSW Crown Holiday Parks trust board chairman Alan Revell said he was confident the changes – along with providing improved public spaces and natural environments for the locals – would boost tourism in the area, injecting vital funds into the local economy.
“The development is a demonstration of the commitment of the trust to improving facilities for park guests, local communities and all visitors to the region,” Mr Revell said.
The redeveloped North Coast Holiday Parks Bonny Hills will be enjoyed by thousands of domestic and international visitors annually. The significant holiday park improvements are complemented by the public access walkway and viewing platform along the escarpment at the front of the park.
North Coast Holiday Parks Bonny Hills will be officially opened by Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams on Tuesday 10 December from 4pm to 6.30pm. The community is invited to attend and tour the new-look park. Parking is at the surf club and entry to the park is via the community walkway.
