Mama mia! … it sounds like ABBA

Keeping the memories alive - Ultimate ABBA band members Kathleen Maloney (Agnetha), Kirsten Elliott (Anna-Frid), Matt Hellak (Bjorn/Guitar) and Greg Wain (Benny/Keys).

GET your dancing shoes and flairs ready – a top ABBA tribute band will be hitting the Hastings later this year.
The Ultimate ABBA Show: The New Arrival Tour features internationally recognised ABBA performers who have taken to the stage globally from the UK to Europe, South Africa to Canada and North America and Australia to New Zealand. The two-hour show re-lives the hits of the Swedish pop phenomenon.
The Seventies will go down in history as the most creative and outrageous era in the history of post 50s Rock n Roll. The massive acts that churned out hits ranged from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, to name but a few.
Carrying the pop-rock flame in their native Sweden with a win on the internationally recognised Eurovision song contest in 1974, ABBA became an international household name and sold more than 370 million albums and singles worldwide and they continue to sell millions of records a year making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
In Australia, the group’s success was unprecedented, accumulating over twenty top twenty singles, six of which topped the charts including ‘I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do’, ‘S.O.S’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Fernando’, ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Money, Money, Money’.
While everyone’s ABBA memories are inherently different, the elation of an ABBA song is universally celebrated. Now you can celebrate the music once again live in concert with this special homage to ABBA.
The Ultimate ABBA Show will be on at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie on Friday 23 May. Contact the Glasshouse to book on www.glasshouse.org.au or ph 6581 8888.
