THE Salvation Army Toy Run is on again on Saturday 16 November.
The event is organised by the Mid North Coast Harley Owners Group (HOGS) but is open to all motorcyclists who would like to show their support for the Salvation Army and get behind their efforts to make Christmas a happier event for children in need.
Hastings Public School gets on board and has an out-of-uniform day on the lead-up to the event.
The activities officer for the Mid North Coast Chapter of HOGS, Ron Foran, said bikes must be registered and roadworthy.
“This is the 13th year the ride will be held and up to 300 bikes attend,” he said.
“Riders should sssemble at Laurieton United Services Club at 10am for an 11am departure.
“The Salvation Army truck will be on hand for donations of toys, gift cards and any charitable items. At the end of the ride there will be a barbecue manned by the Salvation Army.”
Mr Foran said the Harley Owners Group itself was for anyone who owned a Harley and wanted to join an enthusiastic group for day rides and overnight getaways.
“We are a family-orientated club who wants to ride and have fun,” he said.
