All’s fair for school

The kids will enjoy meeting the farmyard animals.

THE Telegraph Point Public School will be transformed into a carnival fairground for the annual country fair this Saturday, 12 October.
From 9am until 3pm there will be live music, novelty games, tug of war and markets and much, much more, including even joyflights in a helicopter for a small fee.
“The kids will have hours of fun, starting with a jump on the wizard castle or a run on the bungee run and novelty games the old-fashioned way like the three-legged race,” a spokesperson for the organisers said.
“Or maybe they would like to sit in the animal nursery hold a chicken, baby goat, duckling or pat a sheep?
“You can also take a pony ride around the school oval or watch the Port Macquarie Dog Club and be amazed at the skill these dogs show in agility and jumping.
“The more relaxed will enjoy a wander around our market stalls, plants, cakes, trash ’n’ treasure or sit-down to a delicious Devonshire tea with jam and cream.
“There are great prizes to be won on the chocolate wheel and there are major raffle prizes like accommodation, television, water ski lessons and more.
“The Country Fair theme will be in full swing, so we have added Cow Poo Lotto, where you can try your luck and win some great prizes.
“After all the action of the morning, lunch will be easy because the barbecue will be cooking steak, sausage sandwiches or bacon and egg rolls.
“You can pull up a table and chair or bring your picnic rug and lay back and enjoy our live music with Jim Bird and Jess Flanagan to entertain you for the afternoon.”
