THE Friday night Junior Rugby Competition is about to kick off for the season.
The new competition will be named the Telstra Shop Port Central Friday Night Rugby Competition after Telstra manager Teale Bryant confirmed his support as naming rights sponsor for the event.
The club held a come-and-try rugby last Friday and prospective new players can also register from 6pm to 8pm this Friday 11 April.
The comp will run from Friday 9 May to Friday 27 June and Friday 18 July to Friday 29 August.
Kids from under-8s to under-14s can take part for the nominal cost of $40.
Australian Rugby Union North Coast participation manager Bruce Frame said having Telstra behind the competition would definitely be a bonus and allow them to keep costs to a minimum.
The home ground is Stuart Park, Port Macquarie.
