THE Self-Expressionists Art Group is currently staging an exhibition at the Macleay Valley Community Gallery at Gladstone.
Painting under the direction of artist and tutor Judy Jelsma from Port Macquarie, members of the group are encouraged to experiment with a large variety of techniques and materials, ultimately striving for their own individual style of painting.
The group’s 2014 exhibition features an eclectic mix of paintings, from realistic to abstract expressionism. Judy is showing a large number of her recent works in addition to works by eight of her students.
The Macleay Valley Community Gallery at 5 Kinchela Street in Gladstone is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition will end on 15 June.
