THE show Take Me Home – The Music and Life of John Denver takes you on a musical journey of one of the world’s most captivating and celebrated men.
Through exclusive film footage, his life is poignantly portrayed in this stage presentation, which stars Bevan Gardiner, who was support act in the 2013 Australian Charley Pride tour.
John’s love for life, concerns for the environment, through to his premature death are all included within the presentation. The motivation for many of his hit songs is explained, including visiting Jacques Cousteau on Calypso, which was the inspiration for his worldwide mega-hit Calypso.
Gardiner, accompanied by international musicians, performs all the John Denver songs with such accuracy and feeling that if you close your eyes, you will be effortlessly transported to the era of John Denver.
