PORT Macquarie MP Leslie Williams has slammed the Labor Party and Unions NSW for undertaking a scare campaign claiming that the State Government is selling off the electricity network.
“The unions are delivering a brochure to local houses making completely unsubstantiated claims about the future of the electricity network as well as issuing a media release alleging I support the sell-off,” Ms Williams said.
“It seems that Unions NSW have problems understanding the truth of the matter, so let me make it crystal clear as I did in October last year that we are not privatising the electricity network.
“My advice to anyone getting this brochure in their mailbox is do as I did and put it straight in the recycling bin.”
