Cash flows for sporting groups

NSW Deputy Premier and Member for Oxley Andrew Stoner has encouraged Mid North Coast organisations to consider applying for grants under the ClubGRANTS program to help build new community facilities and infrastructure.
Mr Stoner said the ClubGRANTS Category 3 program would provide grants of between $500,000 and $2 million to community organisations for new and upgraded infrastructure, with $12 million to be allocated state-wide in the 2013/14 financial year.
“The establishment of the Category 3 program was a commitment the Liberals and Nationals made, in partnership with ClubsNSW, to the people of NSW before the 2011 election.” Mr Stoner said.
“Expressions of interest for 2013/14 Category 3 grants opened on Friday 7 March with applications to close on Thursday 10 April and successful projects announced mid-year.
“In this upcoming funding round, Category 3 funds will be focused on providing grants to develop or enhance infrastructure facilities for sport and recreation in local communities.
“In following years, health and community-related projects will also be eligible for Category 3 grants. Those who are eligible to apply for grants include local government, non-profit organisations, charities and non-trading cooperatives.”
The NSW Government has appointed a ClubGRANTS Category 3 fund committee to assess grant applications and recommend projects for approval by the government.
