HASTINGS police received a visit from the state’s top cop earlier this week.
NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione visited Port Macquarie Police Station on Tuesday as part of a meet-and-greet tour of regional police stations on the way to the official opening of a new station at Moree on Friday.
During his whistle-stop visit, he discussed several issues of concern, including the correct interpretation of the new one-punch legislation, and also congratulated Hastings police on achieving a 20 per cent decrease in alcohol-related assaults.
