Doors open for koala care

Sick and injured koalas from all over are brought to the hospital.

THE Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie is staging an open day on the Saturday of the Easter long weekend, 19 April.
From 9am until 2pm, there will be a busy list of activities to enjoy in between looking at the koalas, including Troppo Bob’s Unreal Animal Magic Show, a sausage sizzle, Devonshire teas, face paintings and stalls galore.
The Koala Hospital is in the Macquarie Nature Reserve, Lord Street.
Visitors can see some of the koalas in enclosures outside but the animals in the actual hospital are not available for viewing.
