TODAY is deadline day for people affected by the bushfires in the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area last October to lodge a claim for the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment.
Claims for the recovery payment close on Friday 18 April, but because of the Good Friday public holiday, affected residents in Port Macquarie-Hastings are being encouraged to finalise any outstanding claims by close of business today in order to meet the closing date.

Paper claim forms can also be downloaded from the website and handed to staff at any service centre delivering Centrelink or Medicare services.
