THE Hastings Co-operative and North Coast TAFE signed an agreement on Monday to formalise their collaboration in promoting business leadership and actively encouraging participation and success in vocational learning and employment.
Key people from both organisations were present, along with a range of business and community leaders, at the special signing ceremony at the Hastings Co-operative head office in Cameron Street, Wauchope.
Hastings Co-op CEO Allan Gordon said he welcomed the opportunity to showcase the excellent working relationship that the co-op already had with North Coast TAFE.
“We’re committed to the notion of locals supporting locals and this agreement is a clear signalling of that commitment,” Mr Gordon said.
North Coast TAFE institute director Elizabeth McGregor echoed Mr Gordon’s sentiments, saying that the purpose was to work together to promote the benefits of learning, innovation, profitability and customer service.
“We can use the training capability of both organisations to support people in our region to achieve their career and employment objectives,” Ms McGregor said.
