THE Port Macquarie branch of the CWA held a high tea to celebrate its annual International Day recently.
The country of study in 2014 has been Botswana, Africa.
Branch International Officer Patricia Urban and her husband Frank lived and worked in Africa in neighbouring Zimbabwe (previously called Rhodesia), and as a result Mr Urban was able to give a detailed talk and PowerPoint presentation about Botswana, including its people, climate, industry, plants and animals.
The choir sang Botswana’s national anthem and several songs pertaining to Botswana.
The CWA rooms were also decorated for the occasion with art and craft works on a Botswana theme from several local primary schools.
