THERE was plenty to celebrate if you were a member of the Port Macquarie Rugby Union club on Saturday, with the Pirates lifting three premiership cups on grand final day at Oxley Oval. The under-18, reserve and first grade sides were all victorious on a glorious sun-baked afternoon. Reserve grade player Tim Boyle was certainly in a mood to celebrate at his side defeated Bowraville 24-19. All three of Port Macquarie’s victories were decided by five points.
