Magic touch to Red Boar Riot

The Glasshouse in Port Macquarie will host a red carpet movie premiere next month.
Red Boar Riot – The Movie stars the Bago Magic Performance Group and will open on 18 October.
Bago Magic’s most recent show, Red Boar Riot, was performed in November last year under the direction of Emil Wolk and Greta Warner at Bourne House (Bago Mansion) and was rapturously hailed a huge success.
Red Boar Riot – The Movie is a superb depiction of a magical performance developed by Bago Magic Performance Group in a way only Bago Magic can.
Red Boar Riot – The Movie came from a mixture of impressions from Ben Hur and the Asterix and Obelix series and all the madness and mayhem when putting these together.
The show is set in Roman times and revolves between the village of Wauchopix and its surrounding forest and Portius Maximus with its crystal colosseum.
For this show, Bago Magic recruited the fabulous Blokes’ Notes men’s choir. Blokes’ Notes performed the role of the Portius Maximus soldiers under the guiding eye of Julius Caesar.
Red Boar Riot was filmed by Luke Fitzsimmons from Luma Films, Newcastle.
Bago Magic are no strangers to the Glasshouse, having held their Suspicious Baggage show at the Glasshouse in 2010, and a Gallery exhibition in 2011 celebrating their outstanding costumes, props and many achievements.
