ROLL up, roll up! Circus Olympia is in town!
Yes, the renowned Circus Olympia has arrived and has a packed series of shows planned over the next couple of weeks at Westport Park in Port Macquarie, kicking off tomorrow night, Friday, 20 September, at 7.30pm.
Circus Olympia is a family-owned traditional variety spectacle working in conjunction with The Great Siberian Circus, featuring up and coming new Australian talent and also amazing circus artists from around the globe.
The circus’s mixed farmyard animal review is a new attraction winning rave reviews.
“This fabulous show displays the talents of miniature horses, donkeys, Scottish highland cattle and British Alpine goat,” a spokeswoman said.
“Brody the clown and his performing Indian runner ducks have to be seen to be believed!”
Other stand-out attractions sure to thrill include the astounding array of circus skills performed by Russian circus superstars the Abishev family, which include amazing feats by eight-year-old old Isabella.
The 2012-’13 programs also features aerialists, whip-cracking cowboys, jugglers, acrobats, crazy clowns plus heaps more.
The show lasts for approximately two hours and is designed to delight and entertain people of all ages, from the youngest toddler to the young at heart.
As an added attraction, children are welcome to visit the farmyard animals under supervision of their parents when the circus is not in session.
The circus has toured Victoria for the past five years, and has just embarked on a central NSW tour, with great feedback and many sold-out shows in Tamworth, Dubbo and Armidale.
“We are hoping that we get the same reception in Port Macquarie – it really is a great family show and we get a lot of great comments,” the spokeswoman said.
Prices start at $25 per adult and $15 per child and family passes at $65 (two adults and two children). Circus bookings can be made via phone from 10am-7.30pm daily on 0427 513 030.
The last performance will be a matinee on 1pm on Monday, 7 October. There will be no shows on Monday 23 and 30 September.
