CELTIC Illusion is a new high-concept dance show featuring energetic, contemporary Irish dance and music with grand-scale illusions.
It combines these two elements seamlessly, thus making it a unique stage show that sets itself part from all other dance shows.
Celtic Illusion starts Anthony Street, a former principal dancer of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the dance, and Peta Anderson, the star of Riverance and Noctu, with a cast of champion and elite dancers.
From the very second the lights go down the audience is taken on a magical journey where anything is possible and the world of dreams become reality. The audience is instantly captivated with the first unexpected, magical appearance of the lead female dancer. This illusion sets the tone for the rest of the show – expect surprises at every twist and turn.
The stage comes alive as champion dancers effortlessly grace the stage, moving as one, creating thunderous rhythms that will leave you unable to sit still.
Each routine has an individually stylised look and feel which is complemented by a bold, lush and modern musical score arranged and composed by Angela Little, the co-composer of Baz Luhrmann’s Australia.
While at its heart it is an Irish dance show, Celtic Illusion doesn’t limit itself to the genre, having broad appeal to audience who also appreciate contemporary dance, illusion and live music. The show is without a doubt a family show for all ages.
Celtic Illusion will coming to Port Macquarie on Friday 23 May at Panthers’ auditorium.
