HASTINGS music lovers will be given the chance to see one of Australia’s most talented young singers in action next week – and best of all it won’t cost them a cent!
James Johnston will perform in a free show at the North Haven Bowling and Recreation Club on Friday 25 July from 7.30pm.
The young singer’s talents have seen him grow from a finalist on Australian Idol to a genuine artist.
His progression over the past six years has seen him become a staple in the Australian touring scene, racking up more than 1000 shows, scaling Australia from top to bottom plying his trade and sharing his immense talent with the rest of the country to perform on stages across the globe all the way from Vegas to London.
One of James’s most ambitious tours to date was his 50in50 tour, which saw him travel the country from top to bottom. Covering more than 20,000km James and his band the Drift performed 50 shows in 50 days consecutively, all to raise funds for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation.
James’ latest venture is auditioning for the TV Series the X Factor, which started screening on Channel 7 on Sunday night. Keep watching to see if he makes it all the way to the end.
His North Haven Bowling and Recreation Club show is suitable for people of all ages. Oh, and remember to bring a pen because he will have a few of his new CDs for sale and you could be the first to get one signed.
