THE Westport Club is going pink.
The Pink Campaign is an awareness campaign for breast and gynaecological cancers.
During this time, the club will be holding several fund-raising events.
They have partnered with the Hastings Cancer Trust to raise funds for a special project for the Port Macquarie Base Hospital that will assist patients diagnosed with these illnesses.
To kick off the fun, this Sunday 29 September the Westport Women’s Bowling Club is holding a Charity Bowls day ‘Pink on the Rink’, which is the first fund-raising event as part of the club’s pink campaign.
This is a great way to have some fun on a Sunday morning. Enjoy a giggle on the green, a barbecue lunch and stay for the charity auctions. You don’t have to be a bowler to participate.
Gather your family, friends or team mates and join in. Entries are accepted up to Sunday morning at 9am.
Bowls start at 10am and the cost is only $10 per person (poster attached). To register or for more information, call Peter Stockham on 6588 7209 or email Peter at pstockham@westportclub.com.au
Other fun pink campaign activities for October and November include a Melbourne Cup and Hastings Cancer Trust cocktails on 23 November.
