Soothing success

Julie Williams, Jenny Sawyer, Coral Young, Marina Alexandra – the happy team from More Than Crystals and Books.

PORT Macquarie’s first Body Mind Soul Expo was so successful that plans are now in the pipeline to make it an annual event.
Organiser Katrina Shalier said the response from the public had been tremendous, with a steady stream of people making their way upstairs in Port Panthers over the weekend to visit the 30 exhibitors and their stalls, which included many different kinds of alternative therapy, ranging from psychics to numerologists and aura readers.
“We have been absolutely overwhelmed at the response and will definitely be back next year in February,” she said.
Julie Williams of Wauchope shop More Than Crystals and Books was one of the many happy exhibitors.
“The expo was a great opportunity for us to meet so many amazing people and to share our extraordinary range of crystals, jewellery and gifts with them,” she said.
“It also allowed people to spend time with and get to know our incredibly gifted healers and readers,” she said.
“The best part of the weekend for us was the fantastic response we received from customers who were amazed by the range of beautiful things we brought along to the expo and also the people who were stunned and often very emotional from the readings and healings they had received.”
Nici Cook of the Salt Cave in Port Macquarie was also happy with the response.
“We provided dozens of people with information about the benefits of halotherapy and salt-wellness products like Himalayan salt lamps,” she said.
“The weekend was just lovely and it was so nice to have had the opportunity to be able to let people know of our pristine salt cave.”
Numerologist Victor Tracey was one of the 50 per cent or so of exhibitors who travelled a long distance to attend, in his case from Launceston in Tasmania.
Known as Mr Numbers, Mr Tracey is one of Australia’s best known numerologists and has been reading professionally since the 1960s.
He said the numbers of people visiting the expo and interest in numerology had been so good that he would now be staying in Port Macquarie until next Tuesday to continue seeing clients.
“It’s been a really good expo,” he said. “I have been doing this for years, and for a first expo this has been fantastic – people seem really interested in readings. I will definitely be back next year.”
A reading with Mr Tracey costs $70. See advert in this issue for contact details.
