FIFTY SEVEN members of the Port Macquarie and District Combined Probus Club headed to Urunga recently for five days of fun, fellowship, games, exercise and retail therapy.
Members stayed at a caravan park, which proved the ideal base.
“We all get together in the camp kitchen of an evening for nibbles, a drink or two and a barbecue or head to the pub, the Chinese restaurant or the bowling club for an enjoyable meal followed by games of cards, scrabble or rumikub,” a spokesperson said.
Walks were organised at Dorrigo through the national park to the Bridal Falls and the Coffs Harbour Botanical Gardens, where the group admired the many flowers and shrubs.
The boardwalk to the ocean was popular for some early-morning exercise or whale watching and members also enjoyed some golf, tennis, bowls and fishing.
