Can someone please tell me why a dozen or so billionaires should tell the rest of us how much our dollar is worth? Why did we relinquish control of our country’s economy? Tying us to the US dollar is no longer relevant. They stuffed up and the whole world is suffering. Companies with large export markets are closing down and costing jobs which will never return because of the high price of our exports.
If our government had control of our dollar value as in the past, and took us to back to a reasonable comparity rate of say 60 BP or .80 Euro to the dollar, competition would go more or less back to what it was before the US-led meltdown happened.
