My wife and I have visited Port Macquarie for many years and have admired the large amount of lorikeets and always wondered why nobody has taken the initiative to regularly feed them, say, at 3pm on the Town Green.
The same as happens in Currumbin so successfully. It would be an enormous tourist attraction.
Another tourist attraction that would help the Koala Hospital would be to plaster cast 100 koalas. These koalas would be sold to the local shopkeepers for a donation of $100 to the Koala Hospital.
The shopkepers will paint these koalas in their favourite colours and display them in their shop window as has been successfully done with cows in many places around the world.
It might even be a great project for the tourist campus in Port Macquarie.
