As children head back to school, businesses get back to work, and communities bustle with excitement for the year ahead, my thoughts turn to those less fortunate. I know many vulnerable children, young people and families in your community enjoyed a brighter Christmas and New Year holiday break, thanks to your generosity.
UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) received more than 3000 gift donations leading up to Christmas. Many of these gifts were not only donated by local businesses and residents, but have directly benefitted our service users in your community.
UnitingCare CYPF provides quality programs in prevention, early intervention, child protection, community development and early childhood education and care to around 32,000 people annually.
In 2012, we hope there will be many more opportunities for us to work together with communities like yours, to help those vulnerable children, young people and families break the cycle of disadvantage.
