Re: Question of Local Independent Member of Lyne

The US and China have no plans to implement a Carbon Tax. Some 32,000 environmental scientists, 10,000 with doctorates, have urged the US and UN to proceed with caution on Climate Change.

These well informed scientists have said the Climate Change campaign is not based on science but on opinions of individuals who have their own agendas.

The worlds first Global Warming billionaire, Al Gore, is apparently no longer concerned with rising sea levels and has purchased a multi million dollar home on the American Coastline.

Thousands of consumers are experiencing difficulties satisfying their electricity bills and it has been forecast that power bills will increase by another 27 per cent and the Gillard Government is planning a carbon tax which will add another 20 to 25 per cent to the cost of power.

With cost of living increasing at an unprecedent rate and an anticipated minimum 47 per cent increase in power charges, working families and pensioners will be placed under more financial stress.

The local independant member for Lyne, Mr Rob Oakeshott, should inform the electorate of the following :
(1) Does he continue to support the Gillard Government’s Carbon Tax?.
(2) What action does he propose to take to ensure security of jobs?
(3) How will pensioners and working families be insulated from the massive increase in cost of living expenses and power bills which will be a direct result of the Gillard/Oakeshott Carbon Tax?
(4) Why did the proponents of Global Warming change the name of their campaign to Climate Change? Was it because the majority of the population no longer support the fraudulent global warming scare campaign?
(5) What evidence can Mr Oakeshott produce to the electorate to show his carbon tax will reduce the severity and frequency of cyclones, floods, droughts and excessive periods of hot and cold weather?
