The Greens candidate in the last State election Drusi Megget is typical regarding global warming now known as climate change; because, in fact, the earth has not been warming for the past ten years. Carbon Dioxide is a colourless, weightless, odourless gas and not ‘carbon particles’ as described by the writer in her reply to Brian Panisset. Carbon Dioxide is an essential element in plant growth. Drusi also notes ‘that we need to control carbon emissions for our children’s sake’. The old cliche is trotted out agian. Indeed Professor Tim Flannery the Federal Government’s highly paid climate adviser, stated in an interview that, if the whole world ceased it’s carbon emissions from today, in other words, back to the Stone Age, there would be no discernible change in world temperature for 750 to 1000 years! How many generations is that? And, whilst she seeks to discredit Dr David Archbald as being a director of a mineral exploration company, I ask, was Tim Flannery a director of a failed geo-thermal exploration company that lost millions of dollars before being wound up?
