With the continuing cost of commodities on the rise, such as electricity, the most important of everyday requirements that controls every single device in a home, factory, office and hospital in all western developed countries, it is now in the hands of private enterprise under the direction of a Board where each member gets a huge salary. It has been established that there are politicians who now have personal investments in the running of this extremely vital industry that has such a profound effect on the survival of our families’ wellbeing and health.
This particular situation should never have been allowed to occur by the those politicians who are supposed to represent their electorate, and is in urgent need of a reversal.
During World War Two, the government of that day took unto its conscience to prevent opportunists from bleeding the nation that was experiencing such hardship, and introduced price control that put an end to the opportunists in industry that would have been a betrayal of the country that provided them with such a handsome lifestyle. Now it has the power to do so again and would get the full support of every citizen suffering the same hardship through such a few on a board, turning Australia into a third world country and deserves the support of all their victims.
