Council’s failure to provide pre-polling for the residents of Wauchope and outlying areas is a prime example of their attitude to this region. What would it have cost to put one in the council office, probably the cost to the household of the 2012 rates bill!
We can now only hope that the incoming councillors, whoever they are, are open and fair minded, fully appreciating their obligation to represent all Hastings residents equally, no matter how far we live from Port.
