Avoid a ‘National Disaster’

Keep them honest
The National Party has little to be proud of.
The two biggest disasters for this town with long-term detrimental effects were due to the Nationals.
1. The ‘Privatisation’ of the Base Hospital.
2. The Glasshouse – the main supporters of the cause of our “GREAT BIG NEW DEBT”, were and still are National Party members/supporters, both on and off the ‘sacked’ Council.
Leslie Williams, by her own admission, entered politics to have a school built at Lake Cathie. Years later – still no school.
The National Party have based their entire Election Campaign on attacking and berating both our elected local MPs.
Rob Oakeshott has just secured $110 million for the 4th and 5th pods at the Base Hospital, for which we should all be grateful.
Peter Besseling has continued to work for the community and let his actions speak for themselves, including having two ‘Private Members’ Bills passed by Parliament, and securing more funds for Port Macquarie than any National representative achieved for their electorates.
As a member of the National Party, it is in Leslie Williams’ ‘job description’ to vote with the Coalition, and it’s just too bad if that vote is detrimental to the electorate.
Independent MP Peter Besseling has the voice, the respect and the commitment to continue to work to ‘keep the bastards honest’!
