PORT Macquarie-based Flamin’ Dragons Dragon Boat club is holding a course for beginner paddlers on Saturday.
The club is inviting anyone who wants to try to join the four-day program, which will run over four weeks.
Dragon boat paddling is the fastest growing water sport in Australia.
There are different levels for everyone, whether you just want a relaxing exercise session or to compete at state and national regattas.
There will be accredited coaches to provide the necessary training, and all equipment, including life jackets, will be supplied.
Anyone interested should come to the club’s boat holding yard at the marina on Bay Street at 7.30am on Saturday.
The program will cost $20 per person for the four weeks, which also covers insurance.
Those attending should wear suitable clothing that will get splashed.
