Zone 3 selection

New England Bowls With Richie Clutterbuck

THE district selectors have named the teams to represent New England in the zone 3 round robin at Moree on 13 and 14 July.
The teams are: Todd Fuller, Dale Smith, Glen Graham, Brody Dexter, Chris Kliendienst, John McIlwain, Gavin Latham and Col Stanley. Manager is John Hamel and the program for the weekend starts with three matches of 12 ends on Saturday starting at 9am.
The zone selectors will then select red and blue teams for final trials on Sunday and from these trials the teams for the state finals will be selected.
Accommodation for the players has been arranged for Friday and Saturday nights at the Albert Motel. Any player unavailable must contact the selectors.

No luck for triples in Tamworth
NO luck for the district triples players at Tamworth on Saturday when they lost to Lighting Ridge however they have a chance in the fours at Inverell this week when Chris Kliendienst is joined by his father Phil, Col Stanley and Braden Sole to play Inverell East.
The New England bowler of the year contest will be close this year as Todd Fuller is making a serious charge at Chris Kliendienst. Points are awarded for district, zone and club championships and I should have an updated score soon.
