The Stowe Australia Winter Mixed Competition wrapped up with presentations on the night at the stadium.
The winner were Amazing defeating Lollie Pop Kids after a really close game, the scores were neck and neck, GK Aaron Patton making many good saves to keep the Lollie Pop Kids in touch. Dan Beliech and Kacia Goodsell were excellent for the Lollie Pop Kids, whilst Sophie Jones and Terry Bishop heldstrong for the Amazings.
The second half saw the Amazings break away to a 3 goal lead, only to have Lollie Pop Kids claw back into reach with a fine goal to Dan Beliech. Erin White combined with Tim Castro to slot a nice far post goal, then Terry Bishop doing the same at the far post. Lollie Pop Kids found it hard to answer this and Amazing ended up winning with the score8 – 5.
Each team had a player of the match, Enthusiasts – Cody O’Hagan, Sparkies – Nick Cooke, Crossfire – Brendon Badenoch, MC Hammer – India Abbey Hannan, Cremasters – Shannon Day, Lollie Pop Kids – Kacia Goodsell and Amazing – Terry Bishop.
