Colts junior sign-on

SOUTH Tweed Heads Colts Junior Cricket Club (STHCJCC) is set to sign on for another year.
The club plays from Ron Wilkinson and Dave Burns Field on the corner of Fraser Drive and Leisure Drive South Tweed according to president Darren Whitney. Unlike the other sides in the region the Colts club has teams running in both the Gold Coast and Tweed competitions.
“We will be entering teams in all age groups from under-11s to under-17s in the Gold Coast competition and under-10s in the local Tweed Competition,” Darren said.
“We are also run an eight week In2Cricket program for 6-10 year old boys and girls.
“Last year both our under-13s made the grand final in there first attempt and our under-17 team went through the season as undefeated premiers.
“We have strong support from local business including SAE Group, Designer Handles and Doors, Leading Edge Telecoms, Bank of Queensland Coolangatta, NR Signs and Glenziel. Their support of local junior sport reduces the financial barriers associated with participation.”
