The Go4Fun Club has just grown, with eight local health and fitness professionals graduating as Go4Fun Club trainers.
The trainers will be running Go4Fun Clubs in Wauchope, Kempsey and Port Macquarie, starting in the Term 4. Go4Fun Club is totally free for kids between 7-13 and helps local families and their children get fitter, healthier and happier.
The Go4Fun Club provides a fun approach to learning skills for life, such as preparing and eating healthy foods, reading food labels, keeping fit and healthy shopping on a budget. Families who have participated in Go4Fun Club highly recommend it, describing improvements in their children’s fitness, physical activity levels, nutrition and self-esteem.
Go4Fun Club starts in Term 4, so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity! Go4Fun Clubs will be offered in Wauchope, at Wauchope Indoor Stadium on Monday and Wednesdays from 4pm — 6pm; and in Kempsey, at Kempsey West Public School on Tuesday and Thursday from 4.15pm — 6.15pm. Port Macquarie Go4Fun Club at Hastings Public School, will run on Monday and Wednesday from 3.30pm — 5.30pm.
Margo Johnston Go4Fun Club Manager says, “The Go4Fun Club can really change families’ lives. We offer a friendly relaxed atmosphere to encourage children to give new things a go and show parents how they can be supportive and involve the whole family in making healthier choices and following an active lifestyle. Children become healthier and fitter, while their self esteem and confidence increase greatly. We very much hope families will take up the chance to improve their health with this fantastic free course.”
