Rally to rock Bago Forest

The Mid-North Coast will welcome top flight rallying again on October 15 when the Bago Forest Classic comes to the brilliant forests of the Mid-North Coast.
This is the fourth and final round of the 2WD Australian Rally Masters Series, the Pipe King Southern Cross Rally Series and the RaceBrakes Rookie series, bringing together some of the most exciting and spectacular rally cars and drivers to the area.
This is the inaugural year for the Australian Two Wheel Drive Rally Masters series and has been created to cater for those that desire to compete against drivers from other states and territories in a recognised and high profile championship, in vehicles they can afford to drive and maintain.
Not only does it cater for what is commonly referred to as the ‘classics’ but will also strongly encourage new and modern vehicles as long as they are 2WD and meet regulations.
It will be run on some of the best roads NSW Forests can provide, covering north, south and west of Kendall. The introduction of the 2wd Series means the event has been structured to re-unite rallying with the local community.
The rally will kick off with the start at 10am from Kendall Showground, giving locals the opportunity to see the competitors and their array of spectacular rally cars up close.
The competitors will face 160 kilometres of competitive rallying running over 10 challenging stages, testing car and crew in daylight and night conditions, a spectators’ delight.
The first car is due to finish at approximately 8.00pm, giving drivers and spectators plenty of action after the sun sets.
Spectators will have plenty of chances to view all the action, with a number of forest viewing points during the rally and these points will be easy to access. Instructions will be available at Rally Headquarters.
The Service Park and finish are located in the one place at Kendall Showground and the relaxed format will allow service crews to go to spectator points to see their car and be back to service, with time to spare.  Full canteen facilities will be available at Kendall Showground.
