Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Lifesaving Club recently held their end of year junior presentation.
Over 200 Nippers, parents, officials and supporters of the Club celebrated their achievements during the 2010-11 season.
It was an emotional moment when Club Life Governor ‘Chalkie’ Bob Smith awarded the Beau Bob Smith Memorial Trophy for Sportsmanship. The award remembers and honours one of the club’s most loved members, Beau Bob Smith who won countless NSW, Australian and World Championship surf lifesaving medals. The senior award was won by Samantha Kirkwood and the junior award was shared by Oliver Payne and Tom Berryman.
The other top awards for the season were: Outstanding Achievement Award   Keely Sinclair. Overall Pointscore: Troy Wilkinson and Brooke Gallagher (joint winners). Note: Both scored maximum points, with a clean sweep of first placings across the season.
Rookie of the Year Award: Junior: Kalisha Glover. Senior: Molly Fraser. Most Improved Award. Junior: Grace Monaghan. Senior: Riley Eichmann.
The Age Managers for the Under 8 to 14 year groups were proud to present the awards for their top achievers.
The Age Champions are those Nippers who accumulate the highest number of points during the season. The Age
Manager’s Choice Award goes to the boy and girl in each age group with the most positive attitude and steadily improving skills.
U/14s Champion Boy: Brock Longworth. Champion Girl: Brooke Gallagher. Runners-up: Jason Sargeant and Louisa Bailey. Age Manager’s Choice Award: Isaac Rosz and Amanda Bruce.
