WAUCHOPE confirmed its status as the number one side in the Group 3 rugby league competition with a rampaging victory against Port Macquarie on Saturday.
In the last round before finals, the ladder-leading Blues blitzed the Sharks 46-12.
It was not the result Port Macquarie wanted heading into an elimination final.
The Sharks will face rivals Port Breakers this Sunday after it was revealed to the Independent that the Group 3 competition has a top-five system in place for the seven-team competition.
The Sharks and Breakers will do battle at Regional Stadium on Sunday.
The winner will do battle with the loser of the qualifying final between Old Bar Beach and Forster Tuncurry.
Wauchope will rest up this week and face the winner of the qualifying final, with the victor to earn a grand final berth.
