On Saturday Panthers hosted the semi finals and final of the LNCDBA State Pairs. In the semi finals Matt Sergeant d Matt Kirkman and Mark Prior d Peter Taylor. In the final Kevin Wholohan and Mark Prior (Westport) defeated Scott Franklin and Matt Sergeant (KempseyHts) 21 – 15. Panthers congratulate the Westport team and wish them good luck and bowling in their future games.
The winners in the Tuesday afternoon social bowls were Garry Deacon and Peter Gleeson. The runners up were Warren Palmer and Brian Bradley with the consolation prize going to Vern Collingwood and Graham Barry. All these bowlers a voucher to be used at our good club sponsor “Port Meat Store” located in Clifton Drive.
Unfortunately with the heavens above dropping some much needed precipitation our Thursday afternoon social bowls were called off. The final of the Men’s Triples managed to get 4 ends with Jack Shales 4 leading Ken Errington 2. This game will be continued at 12 noon next Thursday, 31st January.
The winners in the Australia Mixed social bowls were Lyn Delmoro – Helen Nicol and Chris Stone with the consolation prize going to David Jones – Shirley Jones – Robyn Crosariol and Paul Crosariol.
Results of 100 club 149 drawn on the 22nd January are: – 1st No 62 Janice Bynon, 2nd No 31 Dawn Olsen and 3rd No 60 Julia Hudd. Members are advised that 100 club tickets which cost $2.00 each are on sale all week with 1st prize getting $60.00, second $30.00 and third $10.00. 100 club 150 will be drawn once all numbers are sold.

Members are reminded that the “Bowlers Friday Night Raffle” is on again this Friday at the Sports Club with tickets on sale from 5pm. There will be 22 great meat trays supplied by Port Meat Store as prizes and the cash jackpot will be worth $400.00 this week if won. (LTPM/10/00499).
The draw is on the board for our 2013 Major Singles with 1st round games scheduled to be played on Saturday 2nd Feb, Saturday 9th Feb and Sunday 17th Feb. Players are reminded that it is their responsibility to see when they are drawn to play and that the “PLAY OR FORFEIT RULE” applies to all championship games.
Pennant trials will be held on Saturday, 16th and Saturday 23rd February at home with games to start at 12.40pm. Players are asked to indicate their availability for the 1st game on the 16th as soon as possible – teams are on the board.
