Access to university opens up

EACH year more than 1000 students enter the University of Melbourne through Access Melbourne.
The program significantly increases the number of students from educationally, financially or socially disadvantaged backgrounds enrolling in the university’s undergraduate programs.
Up to 200 of these applicants will be offered a Melbourne Access Scholarship. Extra Commonwealth-supported places will be available in popular courses such as arts and science as well as new courses in biomedicine and environments in 2008. Applications for Access Melbourne in 2008 close on 12 October. For more information about Access Melbourne visit the website www.access.unimelb.edu.au.
