YOUNG people from Wyndham organised and managed a very special event for child welfare organisation Oz Child and General Motors Holden last Thursday.
The young people, disengaged from the school system for a variety of reasons, have been taking part in Oz Child’s Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning program.
The result of the events management part of the program was on display at Werribee Mansion with the students organising the Holden “Fuel for Thought” Economy, Emissions and Environment Drive Day with 60 of Holden’s corporate customers.
Head of Oz Child’s events management team Geraldine Harriss said the students had managed the event from start to finish.
“They have arranged the finalstructure of the day’s activities as well as on-site management of the event.”
