PETER Ross says he still finds local government a fascinating field, even after more than 10 years on Wyndham Council.
The semiretired pharmacist says he sees ongoing opportunities to improve the city he’s called home for close to 30 years.
Last year was his most memorable, because he was elected mayor, he said.
The well known arts and culture supporter said political parties had no role in local government, and he was proud of being independent.
Major issues include revitalising the CBD and making better use of the Werribee River, upgrading roads according to their use and need, and redeveloping Wyndham Park.
