THE struggles of the Western Jets have continued in the TAC Cup following another disappointing loss on Saturday.
The Jets proved no match for the Dandenong Stingrays, going down by 54 points to slip to a 1-4 record in season 2012.
Coming off a huge loss to the Calder Cannons in round four, Western again made a slow start to the contest, giving up six first quarter goals as the margin shot out to 27 points at the first break.
The state of the match only got worse for the Jets as the Stingrays made the most of their opportunities to streak ahead by 10 goals at three quarter time.
However, in a positive sign leading into this week, the Jets players were able to rally and win the final quarter by six points as the final score showed 17.9 (111) to 8.9 (57).
