Driver is now a walker

A KEALBA man had his car impounded after being clocked at more than twice the legal speed limit – at almost three times the blood alcohol limit – on the West Gate Freeway.
A member of the Search and Rescue Squad caught the 25-year-old travelling at more than 130km per hour in the 60km zone shortly before 6am on Sunday. A preliminary breath test revealed the man had a blood alcohol concentration of .140.
The man’s car was seized under anti-hoon laws and he is expected to be charged on summons with speeding, drink driving and driving an unregistered car.
